About the program
The Master's program gives you a comprehensive view of the iridological sciences, from established principles to current theory and applications. It draws on the work of Jensen, Vida-Deck, Günther, Roberts, Bourdiol, Angerer, Velchover, Andrews, Marcia and Jausas.
It is built for flexibility. When you enroll, the course materials open immediately in the online library portal: textbooks, manuals and case studies, which you can also download to study offline. If your research needs material the library doesn't hold, you're responsible for obtaining it.
Who can enroll
You need a Bachelor of Science or a Master's degree in a natural health science approved by Iridology International, or a professional doctorate or credential such as M.D., N.D., Ph.D., O.M.D., D.Ac., T.C.M.D., D.Hom., D.A.O.M., D.O.M., D.T.C.M., M.S.O.M. or M.H.
As with every Iridology International program, you'll also need a working knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology.
How credits work
You need 80 credits to graduate. The thesis is worth 60; you earn the other 20 or more from the activities below, in any combination, up to each activity's limit.

After you graduate
Graduates are prepared to open a private practice, lecture, teach at a natural health college or university, or work as an integrative medicine consultant.
Iridology combines with almost every healing art. There is room for new software, books and compendiums that bring iridology together with homeopathy, botanical medicine, Ayurveda, traditional Chinese medicine, chiropractic, nutrition, physical medicine, aromatherapy and acupuncture.
If you're interested in the technology side of iris analysis, you can work with our programmers on your own software, or help translate the existing iridology software into new languages.
Faculty advisor
Bryan K. Marcia, Ph.D.
Doctor of Philosophy in Iridology, University of Health Sciences, Honolulu, Hawaii, December 1994. He studied under faculty director Dr. Bernard Jensen, with Dr. Donald Bodeen as his faculty advisor.
From 2000 to 2006 he was Associate Professor in the Department of Natural Medicine at Capital University of Integrative Medicine in Washington, D.C., and was named Associate Professor Emeritus in June 2006. He continues to research, develop and teach iridology for health professionals around the world.
Accreditation and terms
Accreditation. To date, no school of iridology has been accredited by a recognised accreditation agency. This program is offered by Professor Bryan Marcia, who earned his doctorate under Dr. Bernard Jensen, with Dr. Donald Bodeen as his faculty supervisor.
Study agreement. All coursework is delivered by correspondence. The program does not give a graduate the right to practise natural health, health counselling or consultation, or any form of medicine, without state approval where it is required.
